SRD Payment Dates 2026 and Status Check
The SASSA SRD R370 grant does not have the same payment date for everyone each month. After an application is approved, beneficiaries are given their own payment dates, which are usually set near the end of the month. This guide explains when SRD payment dates are made and what to do if your grant is approved but no payment date has been issued yet.
What is the SRD grant?
The Social Relief of Distress is a temporary South African government financial assistance for vulnerable individuals who are unable to meet the basic needs (clothes, food), designed to help with short-term crises like job loss or waiting for other grants, offering a temporary payment of R370, extendable once. It is administered by SASSA, a South African government body or social agency. Along with the SRD support, it also provides support to disabled citizens/residents aged 18-60 with no other support. SRD Payment Dates for February 2026
The payments will be processed between 24 and 30 February. If you are looking for a balance check, keep these points in mind.
- SASSA does not announce the SRD payment dates in advance like other grants.
- The pay dates are processed in batches, so check your group to see which one you fall into.

How to Find the SRD Payment Dates
SASSA provides different methods to apply for the grant and check the status and cash schedule. Use any one that is easy and accessible to you to find the exact “payday” and check your status. These methods include on the official SASSA SRD website (srd.sassa.gov.za), at the local office, via WhatsApp (082 046 8553), or through the USSD code.
SRD Payment Dates Online Check:
- Search srd.sassa.gov.za.
- Register yourself
- Enter ID and number.
- Click on the grants.
- Locate the SRD grant status.
- Click on it; if the status is approved, the dates will appear or will show processing.
Note
If your grant gets approved, the balance will reflect in the bank account or any method you select, a few days after processing.
R370 payment dates Check at the office.
To check your SRD R370 cash days at a local office, you have to go in person to a nearby building. Going physically is recommended if you need in-person assistance with your grant.
Steps for an In-Office Pay Dates Check
- Find the regional branch via SASSA office locations
- You must take the necessary documents, such as a valid 13-digit ID.
- A customer support representative will scan your ID if the grant is accepted, declined, or pending.
- If approved, ask for the paydays.
- While at the office, if you have any issue with your documents, change it, like updating the payment gateway, or lodge an appeal if the application is “Declined” or “Identity Verification Failed.”
Via WhatsApp
- Turn on your phone
- Save 082 046 8553 with the name SASSA.
- Go to WhatsApp; in the search bar, type SASSA and send “Status” to get your details.
Via USSD
You can also check the payment dates via USSD code.
- Open the dialer and dial *134*7737# on your phone.
- Follow the on-screen prompts, and enter your ID and cellphone number when asked.
- Select the status check option to see if your grant is approved, pending, or declined, and get payment dates.
Key Things to Remember while Checking your payment dates:
- The SRD paydays are variable. Your payment date is unique and appears as your “Payday” once approved.
- Payments are processed at the end of the month, but it can take 2-3 working days for the money to appear in your bank account.

Why my Status approved but no payment dates
A lot of beneficiaries face the issue that their status is approved, but they have no pay date. If you are also one of them and looking for the reasons, then this guide is for you. If the SRD R350 grant is approved and not showing any dates, it usually means your banking details need verification or there’s a system delay, but other than that, some of the reasons are below.
Common Reasons for No Pay Date
- You have not verified your banking details.
- If you recently changed your banking details, then you have to give it some time, as SASSA needs to confirm your bank account, which can take time.
- Monthly checks on your income may still be in progress.
- You have put incorrect details, which include mismatched ID/bank details, using your nickname instead of your real name, or using shared/third-party accounts, causing issues.
- Problems with Postbank accounts or incorrect cash send details.
How to Solve the Delay in Payment Dates?
- First, open the SRD website
- Type your credentials to open your account
- Click on the section named “Amend Banking Details” to update/verify your banking details.
If your details are verified and no other issues are showing, then call the toll-free line at 0800 60 10 11 or email grantenquiries@sassa.gov.za to provide you the reasons for the delay or no pay dates. If there is no issue on your end, they will provide you with dates; all you need to do is regularly check your status on the portal.
SRD February 2026 not showing
SASSA is doing an upgrade to the system to avoid fraud and scams and make the process smoother for the beneficiaries to receive the grants easily and timely. So till then, wait. Once the upgrade is complete, SASSA will announce the dates and release the balance to your accounts.
